Dec 19 2011	HQPlayer Desktop 2.7.5 and Signalyst Network Audio Daemon 1.0.0 released! Support for Signalyst Asynchronous Network Audio Adapters; for maximum isolation all processing is performed in the player application and processed data is asynchronously streamed over network to a very lightweight network audio adapter interfacing to the DAC. Now none/none setting is more explicitly bit-perfect. Also small GUI improvements, such as movable splitter between transport and track views, support for repeat and random playback modes. Note! Due to a new state saving system, old volume and basic/advanced mode states are reset in this release.

Oct 5 2011	HQPlayer Desktop 2.7.0 released! This release includes a new trial period. Numerous changes, including redesigned UI, support for playlists (pls/m3u or adding files/trees to an internal playlist), support for mixed rate transports, support for native/direct playback of DSDIFF/DSF files using different "PCM packing" schemes (Linux&WASAPI), fixed issue on native DSF playback. Significant rework of one-bit audio to PCM conversion with new conversion algorithms and noise filters (check your conversion settings), 128x one bit audio is now converted to 352.8 kHz rate. Plus many other minor things.

Menu entry and a dialog added to Windows version of the Engine Daemon for setting library location in order to ease up configuration. Software was built in an updated build environment.
May 23 2011	HQPlayer Embedded 2.6.1.1 and HQPlayer Engine SDK 2.6.1.1 released. Fixes an engine startup crash issue on certain installations. Also includes some minor improvements to the Embedded Control.
May 21 2011	HQPlayer Desktop/Embedded 2.6.1 and HQPlayer Engine SDK 2.6.1 released! Completely reimplemented NS9 noise shaper for use at 176.4/192 kHz rates (especially nice for 4x rate capable 16-bit DACs like TDA154x). New NS5 noise shaper for use at (192/)352.8/384/705.6/768 kHz rates (especially nice for 16x rate capable DACs like PCM1704). These noise shapers are very aggressive and can provide a lot of extra SNR in the critical frequency band. Also a new "steep" conversion method for PCM playback of DSDIFF/DSF files and a new alternative noise filter "secondary" especially for use together with "steep" conversion method. Some fixes and a new setting for ASIO DSD support. Also introduced a counter to show when limiter is hit on clipped/too hot material. In order to avoid hitting the limiter, use low enough volume setting (usually -3 dB is enough). Plus the usual minor fixes, including fixes related to cover art loading.
Apr 23 2011	HQPlayer Embedded 2.6.0 and HQPlayer Engine SDK 2.6.0 released! First release with a separate headless server and graphical client applications. Graphical control client is optimized for capacitive touch screens, but can be used with more traditional pointing devices too. Old "Embedded" version, now called "Standalone" is now included in the "Embedded" package and still works with the same key as the Desktop version.
